Etruscan Press and Thomson-Shore Collaborate with the Green Press Initiative

The Green Press Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to making the paper industry more enviromentally friendly. Their mission is to "... work with the book and newspaper industry stakeholders to conserve natural resources, preserve endangered forests, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and minimize impacts on indigenous communities." Etruscan Press has been added to their list of publishers that have adopted strong environmental policies. Also Etruscan's book manufacturer Thomson-Shore was the first book manufacturer to make a public commitment to significantly increase their use of recycled fiber paper. They continue to lead the way and currently sit alongside Green Press Initiative on the Treatise Leadership Council for the Book Industry Treatise on Responsible Paper Use.
