Etruscan
Press Hosts Reception at Wilkes University
On
October 6th, 2007, Etruscan Press held a reception to introduce the
press to invited members of the Northeastern Pennsylvania region.
The event was hosted with the assistance of Wilkes University in
the shared headquarters of Etruscan Press and the Wilkes Graduate
Creative Writing Programs. Phil Brady gave an overview of the press's history and future, and noted poet,
William Heyen, read from his latest work.
Phil also made an appeal for financial support, and Managing Editor, Mike Burnside,
described our new Adopt-A-Book program. A silent auction was conducted
with signed books from Heyen, H. L. Hix, Norman and Norris Church
Mailer, David Poyer, Lenore Hart, Becky Bradway, and Nina Solomon.
The event generated substantial interest from the attendees and has already prompted
generous donations from members of the community.
